THE METAL EMBOSSING DIE

An important factor in the manufacture of counter dies is the metal embossing die. The metal embossing die should be processed very carefully since it is (besides factors such as pressure strength and temperature in hot embossing processes), of course, decisive for the shaping of the counter die.

But, above all, let us describe the difference between:

• a metal embossing die for blind embossing
  (cold embossing) and
• a metal embossing die for relief-hot-foil embossing in a single operation
